The count down begins with only 200 days until The Dog Lover Show hits Glasgow.
Dog lovers all over Scotland are set to attend the sell out show in Glasgow’s SEC on 8th & 9th September 2018. The event will be the first indoor event of its kind and will see over 15,000 people attend over the weekend.
With the dog industry growing and dog owners cherishing their pets more than ever an event of this time couldn’t have come at a better time. Around 471,000 household in Scotland own at least one dog which makes a whopping 21% of the population.
One organiser of the event Robin Chalmers – “Dog owners and lovers are cherishing their animals more than ever and we want to provide a fantastic day for families where they can be involved in all the fun and love a dog has to offer. We want to make dog lovers aware of the benefits of rehoming dogs and the safe way to do so and by working with The Scottish SPCA we hope to rehome a record number of dogs over the two days. The love of a dog is like nothing you have ever experience and we want Scottish dog lovers to have a glimpse of this joy”.
The event will host 150 exhibitors selling all your favourite doggy products and will feature a main stage. Police Scotland will be attending the event with their incredible handlers and dogs to raise awareness of that amazing work they do daily. There will also be flyball, disc dog competitions and dancing dogs featuring on the main stage.
Some of the UK’s largest dog brands have backed the event including Burns Pet Food, Natures Menu, TresPaws and more to be confirmed.
This show will be the perfect event for families with children under 16 going completely free. Tickets can be purchased on the day however pre-purchase is recommend to avoid disappointment.
We look forward to seeing you all there!
